Shop Ava To Zoe

Shop Ava To Zoe is the other side of me that I was unaware even existed. I was taken off of work with my second daughter and fell victim to Pinterest. I had previously begun making Bullet Jewellery,  so clearly I did have a crafty side! I thought what else can I do?  I began to look up ideas for our baby room and stumbled upon a picture of a dream catcher, which got me inspired.

Shop Ava To Zoe was previously known as VMD Jewellery, which stands for Vancity Mommy D, which was my previous blog name shortened! Shop A To Z is a way to intertwine being a mom with kids and still being an individual with my own sense of style!

We make Custom Dreamcatchers for your little’s nursery, your work space, or even your own bedroom, these are also very time-consuming and they soothe my soul.  Each design are made just for you, no two Dream Catchers are ever the same and they force me to slow down and be gentle. They are handmade with love and are truly a piece of art.  They come in many different sizes from 3″ up to 18″ and vary in price.  For more information you can email directly to inquire about custom handmade dream catchers

To ensure proper spelling of names, the quote provided is from Wikipedia, you can read more here

“Dreamcatchers originated with the Ojibwe people and were later adopted by some neighboring nations through intermarriage and trade. It wasn’t until the Pan-Indian Movement of the 1960s and 1970s, that they were adopted by Native Americans of a number of different nations. Some consider the dreamcatcher a symbol of unity among the various Indian Nations, and a general symbol of identification with Native American or First Nations cultures. However, many other Native Americans have come to see dreamcatchers as over-commercialized, offensively misappropriated and misused by non-Natives.

The Ojibwe people have an ancient legend about the origin of the dreamcatcher. Storytellers speak of the Spider Woman, known as Asibikaashi; she took care of the children and the people on the land. Eventually, the Ojibwe Nation spread to the corners of North America and it became difficult for Asibikaashi to reach all the children. So the mothers and grandmothers would weave magical webs for the children, using willow hoops and sinew, or cordage made from plants. The dreamcatchers would filter out all bad dreams and only allow good thoughts to enter our mind. Once the sun rises, all bad dreams just disappear.”

We also make Custom Leather Keychains for you and your loved ones. These keychains are a brief moment in my day when it’s acceptable to hit something.  We started with Mama Bear Keychains and went on from there.  We have two different sizes of font and many different colours. View more information about our ordering our leather items HERE

As each keychain is hand stamped, please note that slight variations can occur.  As these are handmade, they may not be perfectly straight.  As the leather is a natural material, the colour may also slightly vary. But we promise that each one will be just as pretty.

I hope you enjoy the store, and please don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns.  I’d love to hear from you by email avatozoeblog (at) or even on Instagram @shopavatozoe
